Is Cheat Your Way Thin Better Than Combat the Fat?
I ll say right up front that I am not the creator of either of these programs, nor am I associated with either one. So I will be completely unbiased in my comparison. I have purchased each one of these programs and provided my opinions here for you to evaluate and hopefully aid you in making the right decision.
First Reason Why Combat the Fat is Better Than Cheat Your Way Thin
Combat the Fat is based on Jeff s experience in the U.S. Military where he was a Master Fitness Trainer & a Weight Control Specialist. Troops were handed over to him and it was his job to get them in shape and he had to keep his troops in shape.
If he didn t get the troops in shape, they could be in danger on the battlefield (who do you think is gonna get hit first the fit guy or the chubby, out of shape guy?) or they could be sent home neither of which is a good thing.
He created Combat the Fat based on everything the U.S. Military taught him from their multi-billion dollar research and his experience testing different things with the soldiers he trained. His methods are proven and the military trusted him with getting their soldiers in shape no matter what age, gender, body type, genetics, experience, or whatever else you can think of that makes it easier for some people to get & stay in good shape – so their lives depended on him succeeding. I don t think you can get better proof that the stuff he teaches works, and it works for anyone.
Cheat Your Way Thin, however is based on Joel s experience with his clients. I m not saying he doesn t know what he s talking about he does. And he gets results for his clients. But some of the stuff he teaches is not necessarily the best way to do things (which many people will debate, but like I said, this is my opinion based on my knowledge, experience & research).
Joel has done his research, but I guarantee it s nothing close to the research and experimentation the U.S. Military has performed and there s no way he s tested his strategies on nearly as many people. In his entire life he couldn t do the testing the military can & has performed, no matter how hard he tries.
So as valid as his research may appear, I m fully inclined to follow the U.S. Military strategies over Joel s even if his stuff does get results.
Another Reason Why Cheat Your Way Thin Loses
Cheat Your Way Thin is based on the premise of strategically cheating so you can stick with your diet and get results. In fact, the headline on the sales page states that you can regularly eat ice cream, burgers and other foods that are cut out of most diets.
However, Joel’s idea of regularly is not anything close to the same as mine. Unless you consider 2 cheat days in the 3 week primer phase & 1 cheat day per week after that regular, you do not regularly get to eat those types of foods.
On the other hand, Combat the Fat doesn t make any claims about cheating but Jeff gives you similar “cheating advice” and tells you to eat dessert everyday! Yes, Combat the Fat tells you to cheat as much as a program that is based on supposedly letting you eat good food more than other programs.
There are guidelines for the cheat days in both programs, but Cheat Your Way Thin is supposed to let you cheat more than other programs, yet Combat the Fat lets you cheat the exact same amount.
Final Blow to Cheat Your Way Thin
This is actually two blows in one. Cheat Your Way Thin is only a 53 page guide with an extra 10 pages of workouts and a checklist and a couple other little things compared to Combat the Fat which is 160 pages, plus a 44 page nutrition guide & an 87 page workout guide as well as multiple other bonuses.
Now that in itself is not a determining factor, Combat the Fat could be fluff. But it s not. Combat the Fat is jam packed FULL of information. I wouldn t have shortened any of it.
Yet after going through both programs, I was confused by Cheat Your Way Thin. In Cheat Your Way Thin you ve got higher GI/GL days, low GI/GL days, low carb days & cheat days. Then you ve got all this stuff about GI & GL systems and rating carbs and I just found it too darn confusing.
It s just all so much more work than it has to be. It s a lot more like a diet, and not a lifestyle like Combat the Fat.
With Combat the Fat you follow the nutrition guidelines every day and a little bit changes when you do workouts (like consuming more protein after the workout) but it s pretty much the same stuff every day, you just have to follow the same basic guidelines.
Last Thoughts About Cheat Your Way Thin & Combat the Fat
I have bought & read through both programs, I always want to stay up to date on all the information that s out there to see if I can improve my health.
As of right now, Combat the Fat has a lot of information that Cheat Your Way Thin just doesn t include and it s all easy to understand and every page is jam packed full of great stuff.
Cheat Your Way Thin is more like a diet (in my opinion) where Combat the Fat is definitely a lifestyle and Jeff has an entire section devoted to getting you to stop dieting, and I for one don t want to diet.
I will admit without a shadow of a doubt that Cheat Your Way Thin works. And some people may prefer to follow Cheat Your Way Thin.
I personally choose to follow Combat the Fat whenever I want to lean up, and I follow the rules & guidelines Jeff shares in my daily life & I recommend Combat the Fat to my friends and family.
So now you have two choices:
1. If you prefer something that s a lot shorter, a little more confusing (in my opinion), but still gives you results and allows you to get started faster because there s not as much information to go through, then grab a copy of Cheat Your Way Thin.
2. If you d rather have a sustainable lifestyle, all the information you need about getting lean & staying healthy as well as proven strategies used by the U.S. Military & get fast, sustainable results, then get your copy of Combat the Fat.
Whatever you choose, take action right away. Neither choice is right or wrong. Don t put off your health any longer than you have to.
